2. The spies knew there were no weapons of mass destruction because Rice said over 12 months earlier that Saddam's arsenal had been destroyed. Moreover, Hans Blix could not find any. Yet they still perpetuated the lie that WMDs existed to ramp up support for the war.
3. The Neocons had been planning to invade years earlier. They were waiting for an excuse and 911 gave them that excuse.
4. Rumsfeld deliberately used parsimonious resources to invade in order to prove that he could do more with less. This strategy was a miserable failure.
5. Bush is now trying to find a way to weasle himself out of the mess he himself created.
