Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69481695 This I would think if you got it, keep it until you find something better. Its easier to find a job when you have a job Reality leaves a lot to the imagination... Anonymous Coward User ID: 65721389 Brazil 12/30/2015 02:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you had your own business, it would be your life. There would be little, if any, separation between your life, life and your work life. You'd be living and breathing the business. A lot of people work those kinds of hours routinely and don't give it a second thought. They are on call 24/7 365 as they can instantly be reached on their phone or computer. Sure, the compensation is generally good but, often it isn't and you want to keep your job so you just do it. Know kids just out of college, grad school, medical school, law school, MBA programs making very little money and working long hours. If you ask them about it they tell you that this is what they have to do and knew to expect this kind of a life. They learn to work their life in around work and their work in around life. it is what it is. |

Instead we choose to watch the freak show from the seats closest to the door so when the time comes we can make our escape and bar that bitch closed so the sheep and the betrayers of this once great country can burn in all there corrupt karma hell they have coming to them. |

I have to draw a line and my private time is important to me. I can't even hack being on call for the weekend. It turns everything upside down and puts me all out of sorts because I can't relax. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 28763182 United States 12/30/2015 02:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can you sustain a healthy life, working those hours? Will effect your family life, relationships in away that would be intolerable to either yourself or partner children? (if that's your situation). Is the sacrifice worth it, considering you can opt out at any time? Only you know the details of your existence and how you will truly be effected/not effected. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71102769 Personally, I wouldn't cope. I have to draw a line and my private time is important to me. I can't even hack being on call for the weekend. It turns everything upside down and puts me all out of sorts because I can't relax. It will effect my life to the point that I will lose touch with the things that mean the most to me in life. But I already have lost all of those things traveling the entire year for my last job. I feel dead already in a lot of ways |

I have enough money to live and pay my bills for around 12 months. Should I start this job and trade my life for more money or should I wait it out and find another job.. Likely paying less but for 40 hrs per week so I can actually have a life. I hate this shit Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28763182 If it what I love to do, yes. Otherwise NO |

Screw it. I'd rather be poor and happy than have lots of toys and be miserable. |

They wished they had spent more time enjoying life and family. That sort of puts it in perspective for me. When your laying there about to die and remembering your life, what will you remember more? Working 70 hours a week for a big paycheck or doing something that made you happy? |
