Write a story about your pet from the pets perspective.
Tell a story about one of your pets from their perspective. Let us know the breed, age, name and type of pet. You can include other things too, like pics or a link to your dog breed and description.

Have fun!cool2

I will share with you my best animal friend as he might if he could talk.

A am a dog. I fist met my owner when a friend of the family brought me by. I was just about 5 months old at the time. My owner didn't want me at first, but he says I am the best dog he has owned now.

My name is Riley. I am 7 years old. I am a Catahoula/Australian Shepherd. I stand as tall as my owners knee. I am covered in black and white blotches and spots and have short hair. I have white flecks in my eyes, but my eye color is brown.

My master doesn't like it when I chase cats, but I ONLY chase the ones that run! If it won't run, it isn't any fun. One of my best friends is a cat called Luna. We get along great. I even share my food with him from my bowl. I don't chase him like I do other cats. We are pals.

I like my food and can't wait every day for the time when my owner feeds me. He says I am getting a bit tubby around the middle, I don't know what that means unless its one of treats he gives me sometimes? I really like the rawhide wraps and the beef bones he gives me are great to gnaw on when I am bored. I will often stare at him until he notices me if he hasn't fed me yet. He will eventually ask me if I am hungry and I talk to him and tell him you are damn right! For effect, I will dance around, talk, groan and growl until he gets me my food. Sometimes he makes me wait...it kills me when he does that! Doesn't he know I am starving?

Master taught me how to sit, fetch, lay, heel, sing and stay. I am very good at doing all of these and it pleases master when I do them right.

At night, I sleep on a nice comfy bed at the foot of his. I am not allowed on the furniture. If I am found on the furniture I get in BIG trouble, but I get to be inside where it is nice and warm! During the day, one of my favorite places to lay is next to the stove.

I am extremely loyal and appreciate all my owner does for me. I can prove it too.

I don't trust people that I don't know. When someone I don't know comes near my owner, I bark and growl in a mean or threatening way at them. Master sometimes puts me in a room until I settle down when there are lots of people. He lets me out after they are sitting down and have been there for awhile. I hate it! Maybe he just doesn't understand that I am just watching his back? He sometimes yells at me to be quiet, I don't listen though. It makes him upset that I wont' listen when he says be quiet, but I just can't help it! I just can't let people do what they want in my home! Especially people I don't know. I am very firm about it. Its just my way of telling them that they have to behave. My owner gets it all wrong and tells me to behave? It is frustrating that part. Why can't he understand?

When people come into the house, my owner ALWAYS has to tell them to stop, stand still and wait until I can get a good sense of them if this is the first time to visit. After I check them out and master doesn't seem worried about them, I guess they are OK. But, I watch them to make sure they behave from a corner where I have another bed.

I have never bitten anyone, but I would if they didn't listen when master tells them to hold still. Sometimes I will lay between them and him. He is my best friend an nobody is going to hurt him when I am by his side.

Sometimes master goes for a walk. I love to go with him. We also sing together. He says I sing real pretty. The best though is when he scratches my back and pats my tummy. I can't ever get enough of that. So, when he leaves me at home I hate it! He doesn't always leave me though. I frequently get to go on bye bye rides. I don't always know what he does when we go into town. He mostly leaves me in the truck, but he almost always shares a treat with me so its all good, especially when we go to the windows. If he orders something with bacon from the window, he gets it on the side and always gives it to me. He won't eat it himself. French fries are good too, but the bacon is the best! I love those windows! They are not often, but they are great!

Master says I am now a daddy dog.....I don't know what that means, but he says there are lots of happy families that do. I guess all those other little annoying baby puppies that were here is what he is talking about? They are gone now and have been for awhile. He says they all went to good homes. It is peaceful here again, although he kept one? She doesn't look like me, but she smells like me, so I guess that is OK, but he keeps us apart most of the time. He says he has to until she gets fixed, whatever that means. I don't mind though, because she annoys me most of the time anyways.

In all, I have a pretty good life. I am warm, fed and loved and I take care of my owner because he is good to me. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The following link is a very close representation of what I look like.

Really?

That is hogwash.

I hunt for food. I enjoy a great venison steak. I also fish and enjoy smoking them in my smoker. I wish I had some of the bison left that I bought shot and butchered.

I don't even fault people who eat dogs. That is their culture and their right. I see it as no different than what people do to pigs or beef. I would never do that myself, but if that is what food is to them, then that is just part of reality. My only concern is that people kill food humanely. There is no sense in making it suffer unnecessarily. Use common sense.

Are there bleeding heart types out there who believe what you said? Of course. I for one am NOT one of them.

Some pets eat better than the owner.

I went in the kitchen one day and the wife was cooking chicken and rice, carrots and broccoli........for the dogs! lol.

In my opinion dry dog food is just fine. She does that sometimes when the dry food runs out and the store is closed though.

I'm not kidding, this is the exact routine and it goes for both of my dogs and they know exactly what time it is

Here is a typical day off

9:00am walk around the house
11:30-12:00 walk through the woods
2:00 pm walk around the house or woods depending on if I want to or not
4:00 walk through the woods
6:30-7:00 walk around the house
9:30-10:00 walk around the house

And of course after every walk 2 biscuits (not 20, I'm no pushover!)

Re: Write a story about your pet from the pets perspective.
Ok, my owners named me ridley. I am a chow mix with pit bull.

One day this couple came into the shelter i was living at. During this time i was being fed crap food and i was really sad and depressed. I was facing the back of my kennel, when i turned and looked at this woman whom was trying to get my attention. I licked her hand and that sealed the deal. I was only 7 months old at the time, but i felt like i was never going to walk out of there. 2 days later my new owners arrived to bring me home. I was overcome by joy. I was so excited. I didnt think that anyone would love me and that there was no one that i could love.

When i finally got to my new home, i met my new sister. She quickly dominated me and let me know that this was her house, and that if i was going to move in, she was in charge. I was ok with that. My new father and mother showered me with love and changed the food i was eating, because it was giving me really stinky gas. Now i get to eat the good stuff. And once in a while, i even get table scraps.

I now live my life in comfort without the worry of being abused, because my previous owner abused me. All i wanted to do was give him love, but he didnt want to love me. Now i have parents that really love me. They bathe me regularily, and give me pet-icures. Im so happy and im so thankful for everything that i have. My big sister taught me lots of things, like how to wait on my awesome memory foam pillow when its supper time, and how to come when my name is called.

I am a very humble dog. I remember where i came from and i am soo very thankful for everything i have. I love my parents very much, but i am more connected to my father. Me and him are best buddys. He takes me for walks, and even picks up my poop after im done dropping it. Hes the best dad ever!

Hi! My name is Lincoln, but when I act cute, my owners will call me Linky for short. I'm a 14 yr old long haired, mini Black and Tan dachshund. My owner says she still remembers the first time when she met me! I was with another family for a year before I was given my forever home.

The other family always worked and didn't have enough time to play or love me and would also put me in a tiny crate for 8-10 hrs a day, which I hated!!! They also fed me low quality dog food and I had poopie problems when I first met my new owners. But, this was all such a long time ago!

Once my family started feeding me much tastier and better quality food, I had no more poopie-potty issues! My last 14 years have been amazing with my family! They feed me treats, take me on car rides and walks, let me roll around on the grass and best of all I get to sleep under the covers with them every night!!! I truly feel loved!

I am also very healthy despite jumping off the bed last summer and hurting my back! My family was so good to me. They found a special hospital right away and I had to have back surgery!!! Thankfully, I recovered, but the surgeon said "no more climbing stairs or jumping", so my family keeps a baby gate up Which restricts me from not climbing the stairs. In case u didn't know, dachshunds are very stubborn and I still want to do all my own exploring around the house, but now I'm forced to just stay downstairs during the day!!! I hope you liked my story! WOOF!!!!

LOL. Those darn squirrels!

My wife has a dog that tears after them. We went for a walk one day on a trail that has a very steep rock slide that goes down about 400 yards. I knocked a rock off the trail and the dog took off down the incline after it, thinking it was one of the squirrels. My wife about had a heart attack! The dog almost became a tumble weed.....thankfully it got stopped and made it back up safely. Crazy dog!

I used to just buy the cheapest bag of dog food I could find. Then I found out it is mostly just corn, which isn't good on a regular basis. So, not anymore. I now look to make sure the first ingredient lists protein with a decent percentage. It cost a few dollars extra, but my dog appreciates this very much and has a healthier coat and a great smile!

My dog?

I open the front door & it's...

OH Papa I love you open the back door I have to pee...OPEN the back door I have to pee...

So I open the back door for 60 pound yellow lab/shepard names "Lady" and she runs outside & says...

Oh look!!! There's a squirrel!!! Gotta get it, gotta pee, gotta get it, got it!

Now to show papa the dead squirrel...I'm so proud of myself...gotta show papa...gotta pee...
