Can you give me their names so I can hang out with them? They probably feel very isolated being surrounded by judgey right-wingers like you. Anonymous Coward User ID: 70735465 United States 01/13/2016 09:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes lost a daughter..and her baby I'm sure will follow. I'd like to strangle her honestly..LOL But of course I don't..just can't fix stupid. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70735465 Just wanted to add that my daughters ex bf from Costa Rica emailed me last night to let me know that I needed to vote for Sanders. I puked a little in my mouth. I'm so tired of her liberal ass and her liberal friends who think they know more about our country than we do. She is now back to living in costa rica but was raised in the us..you'd never know it though I will email him back and tell him when the rapeugees show up in his country to let me know. and when their country as liberal as they are decide to let illegal, non citizens vote then they can come talk to me. |
TheSuperMarket User ID: 63228158 United States 01/13/2016 09:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No. You probably lost your two friends because you're an asshole. Only an asshole would blame a political ideology for the loss of a friend. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66831762 I have mixed feelings on this. I agree, letting an ideology get in the way of a friendship is a tragic thing to do. However, it sounds like he is just name-calling them liberals, when in reality he is really upset that they aren't taking responsibility for their own adulthoods. OP, would you ruin a 20 year friendship just off of how someone votes? What if they were doing everything they should be doing as a man/women, such as paying their bills, working, raising a family, and generally being a loving, caring person....would you disown them if they voted contrary to YOUR ideas as to who should be voted on? I never cared much for the name -calling. Calling someone a liberal is silly to me, because as people, we generally are a mixed bag of emotions, ideals, opinions, etc. It is very rare we fall into one thing that can define us. "However, it sounds like he is just name-calling them liberals, when in reality he is really upset that they aren't taking responsibility for their own adulthoods." But that is exactly what Liberalism is. We have to call it something. I call it Liberalism, and many other people define it and interpret it the same way. It's a warped way of thinking, that varies from naive idealism to an entirely co-opted reality whereby a person utterly gives up their personal sovereignty for group protection. As for how someone votes, I wouldn't disown someone over it. Never have. I would voice my opinion, but I wouldn't trash someone over it or get too butthurt. I'd already gone through with my friends over my 20 year period (kind of a similar story to yours, actually). We always had disagreements, but we were men about it. I can't say I fully understand using a political word to mean something else, but at least you took the time to reply to me without trying to belittle me for not understanding something. Big props for that, anyone who can talk to someone without being rude is worth their own salt in my book! Thanks for that |

We naturally parted ways after high school but I can see they've changed. Or maybe this is how they always have been. I was talking to one of them a year back, and he was saying things like "Why does anybody need guns", and "Just make all of the illegals citizens." Then again, this is the same guy that was going on about how cops need to stop killing black people so much. Another friend posted on facebook (after the Paris attacks) about how not all Muslims are bad, and how if you don't like Muslims you need to go punch yourself in the teeth. These were close high school friends. To see people you have so many memories with say these things is disappointing. A guy I met my last year of high school is liberal as well. After the Paris attacks he posts on facebook, something along the lines of "I have many Muslim friends. Islam literally forbids violence. Islamaphobes need to go punch themselves in the teeth and un-add me." What is with liberals and telling people to go punch themselves in the teeth? Jeez. |

If you support Trump I've lost literally all respect for you as a human being." Political differences shouldn't immediately destroy friendships. You can agree to disagree. I've noticed liberals get so god damn hostile when you disagree with them. People are changing. I've noticed people are becoming more liberal, and more conservative. mehitable User ID: 63830259 United States 01/13/2016 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Back in the military I had a close friend who was very conservative. When we got out he became a school teacher and developed the typical mentality of a gimmee. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7227274 Typical - part of that's indoctrination and herd mentality, but another part - a big part - is just being part of the government. They want their employer to GROW and provide them with more benefits and more jobs, but the govt grows at the expense of the rest of the economy and then regulates us to death. It's not like a widget manufacturer, who may suck individually, but we don't have to buy their products, or we could go to another widget manufacturer. With the government, the more power and money THEY have, the less power and money WE have. It's a clear transfer and you're friend is only thinking of his short term self interest. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66831762 The friend I spoke of in the earlier post is about his abusive behavior toward me, and stalking me just to fight. I had enough. I have another friend, older than that one, more liberal than that one, and we are very close. We agree on almost nothing politically, but treat each other with respect. he does not call me nasty names and does not want to fight. I do not anticipate that friendship ever ending. Calling me nasty names, and even going so far as to follow me on a post I made on the page of a friend we do not have in common, is getting a bit psycho. He even threw fits about things I "liked" on FB. Finally told him that I would not even tolerate my husband trying to tell me how to think -- why in the hell would I take it off him?? Add the name calling into the mix, asking him to cease & desist several times; he got the boot. You were doing so good until that last part. Liberalism tells people, "You are owe something. Someone out there needs to do something for you." You need to do away with that thinking. Because that thinking has nothing to do with real compassion. Real compassion is selfless, and many conservatives commit selfless acts (usually without tooting their horn about it the way Liberals do. Look at Trump's many quiet acts of kindness he never sought publicity for. That is the measure of a true conservative!). |

Liberals just don't actually THINK about anything, they don't reason anything out or consider the consequences. It's all about how they "feel" about someone or something. It's totally emotional. That's the reaction I see to Trump. My emotional response to Trump is because I have closely followed him over the past several months, listened to many interviews, watched all the debates, read all the material, and I agree with just about everything he says, on a purely logical basis. And I love how he expresses things, in such a blunt and direct manner, although there are times when even I wince. My liberal friends just emote over Trump and how blunt and aggressive he seems. When I actually talk to them about specific issues, like Muslims and the NYE rapes, they have to agree with me. But in general, they don't REASON, they emote. |
mehitable User ID: 63830259 United States 01/13/2016 10:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It occurs to me on a regular basis that women can fix the liberal men pretty quickly. When ever a liberal man says any of the Queen ass shit mentioned on this thread...the women should immediately say "Oh...I didn't now you were gay." Quoting: Chip Then he'll spend the next 20 minutes looking for his testicles. She can help him find'em. She can coach him regarding what a real man believes and says. If we can get a few million women to do this...we could heal this country'so giant gaping bleeing pussy problem in no time flat. It's a good idea in principle, Chip, but the problem is so many women have gotten used to these pussified men and I think they prefer them. I see it in a lot of these suburban husbands who are so terrified of their harpy wives. My sister in law is like that, she's a complete bitch and she dominates all the men in that family. I can't stand her. but so many of the soccer moms are like that, and many get divorced and raise their boys in that effeminate, anti-male atmosphere so the men become fucked up generationally. That's what I see in so many young men now, they're just effeminate and passive from too much estrogen in their young lives. The Muslims have the OPPOSITE problem - they have virtually NO female influence in their lives so they're all raging testosterone with no restraints. To be healthy, we have to be more in the middle, like we used to be. All the feminism and single moms have been disastrous for the West. |
