Hah! Two years ago, Cuomo himself denounced conservatives as “right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay.”

“Extreme conservatives,” said the governor, “have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

De Blasio was quick to say amen: “I agree with Gov. Cuomo’s remarks,” he said, adding that anyone who is pro-life “does not represent the views of the people of New York.”

That all sounds pretty much like what Ted Cruz was saying about “New York values” being at odds with conservative ones.

And declaring that people who think a certain way “have no place in the state of New York” sure sounds like rank “demonizing” to us. Not to mention that it goes way, way beyond anything Ted Cruz had to say.

all Cruz was talking about was NY has supported a Republican candidate only 6 times since the Great Depression and generally supports gay rights, abortion and mostly all other liberal issues and values...

nobody was talking about 9/11 or the firefighters... he was talking about the citizens of NY and how they vote ...and Trump is a NY citizen who used to be very liberal and supported Clinton and donated to them... you can't deny that ...that is fact ...videos of it everywhere.

Cruz sure sounded like a bigot to me. He was so busy pandering to his evangelical base that he forgot he was insulting new yorkers everywhere and, they are in every state and they are insulted and they do remember stuff like that when they go to the polls.

Trump eviscerated cruz on this and then later marco eviscerated cruz so it wasn't a good night for him even though he's too dumb to realize this. Fox is pushing cruz on everyone big time. even hannity is uncomfortable with the cruz pushing but the blaze is doing the same thing. wonder who wants cruz pushed this hard? Maybe the jebbie group? Maybe the hillary group? certainly not regular mainstream republicans. Maybe the conservative wing of the republican party?
