Quoting: Mukk1234 Classic lens flare, you get this a lot shooting a very bright object on a dark background. Its caused by the way the axis of the lens barrel is aligned with the moon. Change the axis, and the flare goes away (sometimes the shot as well). It can also be caused by dirt on the lens.
