I liked him even in unknown films. Scarecrows was the most realistic film I have ever seen. Even getting on my high horse, I wouldn't have changed a thing except maybe the scene at the very beginning how the two met, I would have had them meet in the bus station, and it would have had things go full circle since it ended there. Scarecrows to me was hopeful. Him getting a round trip ticket showed that he wasn't going to abandon his friend but was going to come back for him. I like to think he visited him now and then, he eventually got better and got out of the mental hospital, but when he found out his son really was alive, almost flipped out again, and he found out only by being sued for child support. Good thing he was in a different state that time and out in the wilderness so they couldn't lock him up again. I'm crazy, but I make up stories around and before and after movies. I think it would be interesting to do an update of the movie Scarecrows. To see what time did to the characters. because stories never really end. The actors just memorize new lines. |

The best performance I've ever seen on film. I agree about lots of the other picks here, but I can't see Clint Eastwood or John Wayne or James Stewart pulling off such a convincing portrayal. Not intended to be a factual statement. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47129114 Val Kilmer was a great actor. Don't know what happened there. I agree. The thing with Val were, He channeled Jim Morrison.'Careful summoning you do not become the demon'. That left him deflated maybe? No offense to either, Thunderheart is good to me.BORING to others.whatever..Gary Oldman is priceless. |

Val hit his stride in the late 80s early 90s and then he went MIA. I don't get it. I have heard rumors that he's hated in hollyweird. I just saw him with Downey Jr in this comedy/murder/action flick. It was great! Can't remember the name. Took place in LA. Also, Val actually sang those Doors songs. And he did a great job. That's brass balls right there. |
Nikola Tesla User ID: 3320371 United States 01/22/2016 11:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | John Wayne, but that wasn't acting. He was just being himself, sort of like Eastwood. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69935032 ^^ True. John Wayne was great, and Eastwood... well they broke the mold when he was created.
