I am totally certain god didnt write this life of mine.. I am certain I didnt write it either for I know my own creation.. then who did?

Every experience is a learning lesson. How grateful you are in life will determine how much karma/sins are removed. How much you choose good attributes in life will determine what happens in your next life. So the choice is ours.

A good way to overcome being critical is to always find a few things to be grateful for on a daily basis and smile more. Worked for me.
