Zika mosquitos also travel by plane across the Atlantic from South/Central America and elsewhere brought by passengers inside airliners cabins or possibly going inside when the planes are being serviced in airports.

I'm not seeing any information about what part of a baby's development is affected, and that is strange. Also that they don't know "for sure" that 4000+ infants were affected because of zika.
What I mean is that what if someone was pretty far along, and got the virus? Would their baby be at the same risk? Or is it only when the brain and head is developing which is a much smaller window of time vs the whole term.

And scary warnings that people remain infected for two years or longer----this could be a genocidal disease.

I was thinking the same thing. My guess would be that at a late stage of the pregnancy, the baby's head could not 'shrink', but the baby could be born with mental retardation, seizures, and god knows what other problems.

Also, pregnant woman there were given the Tdap vaccine I think starting around 2014/2015

I find it interesting that this outbreak's epicenter takes place in one of the BRIC Countries just before the most important economic event in Brazil's history.
