If you 'go native' and don't want imported foods, beers, etc, the cost of living is actually pretty cheap for non-Greeks.

Rural life goes on pretty much as before and the really good news? The refujihadis don't want to actually stay in Greece, it's a just en-route. 6 or 7 months of actual summer, 300+ sunny days a year, mild winters in the south, and plenty of young female tourists in the summer. What's not to love.
