The Navy Owns Space. Not The Airforce
Space is seen as another 'ocean'. What a great way to perceive things! Based on this perception of space back in the 1950s after electrogravitics making deep space travel feasible the Navy leadership at that time pushed to make space their domain. And it still is to this day.

Re: The Navy Owns Space. Not The Airforce
Makes sense, there's no air in space. Just hope the Navy don't wear those silly uniforms in Space, y'know those nafff looking blazer jackets & lapels n stuff. They look so friggin Gay! We don't want another Titanic in space! Yeah?!
