Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69875091 Honestly Iowa has meant nothing in the long run to the primary process. Rubio and Cruz have been there for almost a year already. In the long game, Cruz and Rubio are no where near the top on any other poll for any other state. Their Iowa results are from investing in the ground game for a year. Its actually remarkable Trump came in second with as little effort and time that has been spent there. I believe Trump's tactic was to force both Cruz and Rubio to run through their money to keep their chances to place high in Iowa where the polls pretty much had already agreed with this until a couple weeks before the caucus. I don't see where any other Republican is even a player in any other primary unless a bombshell comes out against Trump. The question has been for quite some time-- will Trump win 49 or all 50 states? This is what's being ignored over the pointless Iowa Caucus. Last Edited by MaximusRex on 02/03/2016 12:35 PM |

It is quite odd that the realclear politics poll had Trump handedly ahead on every poll the day before caucus-- but he almost fell to third. Where hillary was ahead in 9 out of 10 polls by a slim margin and the results were close as such. One would think the results should closely mimic the polls on both sides and not one. |
