Whether we mean to or not, we are deciding now on the shape of a post-jobs economy. What will American culture, politics, health care, and economics look like in an era when formal employment – a job – has ceased to be the most common way that Americans earn a living?

It's disconcerting if you really read the article. Basically, they are suggesting people with capital (ie retiring boomers and people in the "knowledge economy") figure out ways to exploit the unemployed and homeless for profit.

Let's be entrepreneurial! Let's use the homeless to pull rickshaws!
