But ive never watched it all... Its so epically slow off the mark... I get to the part where hes at some wedding and his friends and family come through to meed him and ask him for advise, then i think theres something about a business deal he turns down and his car gets attacked, but after that i always fall to sleep or get distracted... Has anyone actually watched all of this film?

The book and the movie were produced with the mafia money, for the only purpose to make people believe that mafia is a very serious society of intelligent and honorable people. If you want the truth about mafia, you need to look somewhere else, like Martin Scorsese movies, where the mafia is depicted more realistically. Or documentaries on youtube.

My dad's best friend was Sicilian. He said absolutely every detail and word were accurate, including all the swear words. The director built an entire world to explain the rest of the movie.
