The bible says to submit to human authorities, i.e., governments.
it says so in romans 13:1 and 1peter 2:13.

so christians should follow the bible and stop complaining about obama or whoever else they may be living under.

Written by Romans to help subjugate the masses.

Serf control. Turn the other cheek, the meek shall inherit the earth, camel through the eye of a needle, submit, etc.

If one can get people to buy into this, pretty simple ruling them

Explain that to the Muslims. The only law they acknowledge is Sharia law.

But yes, that is true, God has allowed the current governments to exist, so we're required to abide by those laws. He doesn't explicitly say though that we're not allowed to criticize the government that's in place, just that we obligated to obey the laws else suffer the consequences.

It is tricky - what to do when Cesar oversteps his bounds into God's territory?

Same Answer.

Resist not Evil

Perhaps to Question it is Ok though.

Ellul is good source for Christains to ponder politics with.

Ellul identified himself as a Christian Anarchist. Ellul explained his view in this way: "By anarchy I mean first an absolute rejection of violence."[38] And, "...Jesus was not only a socialist but an anarchist – and I want to stress here that I regard anarchism as the fullest and most serious form of socialism."[39] For him, this meant that nation-states, as the primary sources of violence in the modern era, should neither be praised nor feared, but continually questioned and challenged.

If that was the case Jesus could have stayed home.
Cooperating or tolerating evil makes Christianity unnecessary.

Christianity was about not supporting evil or evildoers, it was about resistence to ev il, not establishing evil as an authority.

Its the 501c3 Clergy Response Teams job to preach a perverted interpretation of Romans 13.

The Bible says: PHUCK THE MATERIAL WORLD, in endless ways. Its literally all it says, and your electric mental infection is the only thing making it more complicated.

This is the most strange thing about the new Christians they are all brainwashed.

Consider who selected the manuscripts that were to be included in the bible along with the omissions and interpolations of the texts thare were chosen and its purpose. It was to stop the fighting between the Jews, Gnostics and pagans and place them all under the control of Rome.

Read the Nag Hammadi for a different perspective. It speaks much of the "authorities and rulers". The current pope is no fan of gnostic teachings. Wonder why?

submit to their laws as long as they don't go against God's laws. otherwise shadrak meshak and abednego (those names are probably spelled wrong) would have died in the fiery furnace.

Moses and the Israelites would still be slaves in egypt I could give more examples but lets just cut to the chase.

when your government tells you to take the mark of the beast, God is not going to say its ok because your government told you to.

Mind controlled wussies will find a reason to submit to terror, oppression, tyranny, and outright evil. When the murderers come for you, lie down. According to some idiots, you don't have the natural right to defend yourselves. LMAO!

That's because if you had a meal and a roof over your head, it could be a lot worse in those times. That doesn't mean we should go third world and just accept. The Bill of Rights is based on the Bible so let's not get rid of that.

Submitting to the authorities means obey the law.......unless the law tells you to do something against God's word.

That's what that bible verse means.

Yes, consider the translators like Erasmus and Tyndale, that is a great study in itself.

I am sure Tyndale was really worried about Jewish infighting as he was being strangled to death at the stake.
