The should be able to find a job anywhere with all of the important, in-demand skills they probably have. Quoting: g.g. They are people. Are you saying people don't have the right to make a living? You only have a right to work to feed yourself if you're a Bill Gates type, a genius with enormous skill? I disagree with your perspective. People in America have the right to support themselves. You don't need 1,000 skills to get 1 job. You need the job first then you learn the skill. They don't deserve to get paid more than someone is willing to pay them for their skills. They probably got paid much more than they were worth because their union was busy fucking the company dry. Now they've been fucked out of a job, probably thanks to the union and WAY higher wages than market value. So off to Mexico where PEOPLE will happily do those jobs. Yes, the people in Mexico are real people too. Low skill jobs need to go to places like Mexico. |

What is a fair wage for people's labor to you? Slave wages, since you deem these people worthless? They aren't "skilled" enough to deserve to survive? Under poverty level? Just at poverty level? During a prosperous economy you can paint houses and support a family. During a banker hijacked economy you can't. |

Well we can always have a revolution when people get tired of a rigged game where the rich get richer the poor get poor and the middle class get annihilated. You must think all those cops getting assassinated is a sign things are just going to muddle along because you happened to have a skill and a job and can pay your mortgage. We live in dangerous, unstable times. If you think you can cruise for the next few years to an easy retirement you are living in a fantasy land. |

Or if they work for Walmart... outright steal. Then Walmart mngmt. sees a Huge loss of profit from that one store. They are not idiots. Walmart mngmt. knows what they are spending for merchandise, labor, taxes, etc. and what they are getting back. People steal from their Walmart... maybe for years. Then they are shocked and surprised that their store gets closed down. |

TRUTH IS HIGH TAX AND REGULATION IMPOSED BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DRIVING AWAY BUSINESSES FROM THE GOOD OL US OF A Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68528294 Unfortunately I cannot agree with that assessment. I ran my own engineering company for 15 years and by opening an LLC on the side with a different year end I, like most of my contemporaries, was able to avoid paying any kind of corporate income tax. Sure we paid when we took out income for ourselves, there is no way around that, but corporate income tax, well that is easy to avoid. Unless of course a corporation makes so many gazillions in profit that multiple corporations and money moving are too bulky to manage (or hard asset acquisition is a big factor). Ok, I see your argument and it is valid, and it points to the government being the biggest problem doesn't it? If the absolute dirt cheapest labor is always the way business will go then Americans have to somehow survive on $1.25 an hour to compete with the slaves in other countries. What kind of an economic model would evolve here when that happens? Would that create a healthy growing economy? He who feels the respect which is due to others cannot fail to inspire in them regard for himself, while he who feels, and hence manifests, disrespect towards others, especially his inferiors, cannot fail to inspire hatred against himself. Anonymous Coward User ID: 56570480 United States 02/13/2016 02:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The dems think that taxing and paying everyone off with cards is the answer. The republicans are going more and more in that direction and guys like cruise remind me more and more of bernie and hillary every day. We need bold new ideas from places we aren't even thinking of and from the people you'd least expect. That's only going to come from someone who can bridge the business/[political divide. Someone who isn't afraid to speak freely and frankly and not, because they are a lawyer and their thinking causes them to parse words or because they are a politician and their thinking makes them think of their future and the sound bites and the party bosses and the leaders in congress, but because they have the freedom to be an outside of these groups and can represent the American people. An outsider, someone not so tied to a political ideology and loosely tied to a party is the right choice, otherwise we will remain mired in what we have now and the status quo will only lead to more mess. I guess we need Trump. |

The house is large enough to require 2 5 ton heat-pump and a 3 Ton heat-pump. I was going to insist that our HVAC contractor use CARRIER. NOT ANY LONGER! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40176176 I do not know who in the HVAC Industry is still an American Owned company who employs American Workers but I’ll damned sure find out before I spend over 30-36 Thousand dollars on the AC / Heat-Pump installation for the house! The American Dream is alive and well for you I see. Scottsdale is a wealthy area for the well to do crowd. Expensive enough to keep the scum out. |

Not to play devil's advocate, but they haven't moved to Mexico YET. At this time if you bought their product it would still be a made in USA product, and you'd be supporting American workers, is that true? I understand the principle though. But in practice you would still be buying American made. |
