At what point do they drop the hammer and tell Everybody that if they don;t have a Syrian invite then don't let the door hit your ass on the way out? Any insights on why they are doing this? What do they hope to accomplish? Russia can destroy any invading Turkish and Saudi forces legally without any retaliation from NATO. NATO is a defensive alliance. Syria's government requested Russia's assistance with their Isis problem. Saudi Arabia funds Isis, as well as all other forms of Muslim terrorism. Saudi Arabia wants to intervene in Syria because they're losing Isis members every day. The USA back the "moderates" whom are against both Assad and Isis, and the USA is dumping money and weapons into them as well. So yes, we have a waiting powderkeg. EyeofOdin User ID: 69561760 United States 02/13/2016 07:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Saudis may stage a hit & run air campaign to support front-line opposition forces in pushing eastward to capture Aleppo while Kurds (backed by Turkish/Saudi ground artillery) move southwest to converge on Aleppo from the opposite front and secure strategic positions along the eastern bank of the Euphrates and Lake Assad. Of course our military intelligence dictates every move the Saudis and Turks make. They're incapable of critical and creative thought during ordinary circumstances, let alone at this scale. The entire Syrian conflict revolves around the Qatar-Turkey pipeline. Assad refused to sign an agreement intended to cripple the Russian economy (oil export to EU) and retire them as a world superpower. Putin recognized this plan and the intent of the CIA-led Arab Spring. That's why he seized Crimea (strategic warm-water port). Russia would then be able to clean up, whomever is left in the skies over Syria. We also have Iran, then China, Pakistan and India, who could also be interested in joining Russia ;) if the US/NATO enters the game..
