Elderly black man taught me two of the most important things in working for a living.
My first day at work I was assigned to X. He said ok its 8am time to get started. We walked to the coffee pot and got coffee. Then took the next 20 minutes drinking two cups. Lesson One. Don't start the day with your foggy ass half asleep brain or your going to ruin something.

Then we walked down the hall to another part of the building. Then down another hall. and he says we are here. Mens restroom. we go in and he says take this stall and i am headed down there. No talking. He takes his dump and I don't have to but flush out and wait. He comes out and says lesson Number Two. There will be no better shit in your entire life than the one you take while your getting paid for it.

The rest of the day was other lessons, but those two were the big ones.

End of the day we clocked out and the big boss says, did you like working with X? I said yes, he knows a lot, and I should probably stick with him for a while till I learn the ropes. Big boss says yeah, he taught me plenty along the way too.

Winning would be not having to work some crap job. I worked crap jobs until I was 30, since I was 7. I just got off a Holiday job I was OFFERED by a neighbor, and it was total hell. I spent more than I earned on the job in time, gas, and food and refreshments. Basically it was a glorified overpriced gift basket business. I would work again for low wage but only with lots of bonus concessions attached and a real opportunity to use some of my talents.
I'll download Granny Glam shots of my ass before I ever work some crap job again. Money piggery is a nice option as well. Never even have to know the fucker.
