Hey Mods Question/Opinion Re Mods Actions On A Facebook Group
Hi- So I've been a member of a political debate group on Facebook for years. The head moderator is a total fanatic regarding his candidate and a lot of his like-minded friends are members as well. I support Trump and it's hit piece after hit piece on him 24/7. No problem, that's politics and I'm in the minority there. I post here on GLP so I can handle myself with those lightweights.

Around the first of the year he became a volunteer for his candidate. Since then it's been like the group's become an arm for his candidate's campaign. I know the head moderator forwards everything to his campaign handlers and fellow volunteers for advice on how to frame an official response. That changes it from a debate group to something completely different.

As we all know, GLP is first to get news scoops, so I always post breaking stuff on the group's thread. I make sure it's always quality intel, supported and true. Makes them CRAZY!! They get totally butt hurt and personal.

So yesterday I posted Beck's statement with the hit headline: "Glenn Beck: God took Scalia to give America Ted Cruz as president" Tipped them all right over... The mod started asking if I was a Christian "for context" blah blah blah. My response- Yes I believe in God but he's got a Universe to run and isn't a micro-manager for this earth- really made him want to get personal.

I finally called him out telling him that it's a debate group not an arm of his candidate's campaign. We aren't guinea pigs for overcoming objections to the public or to be silenced. Debate is one thing, propaganda is another. I felt based on his content, his role as Moderator and volunteer role, plus his inappropriate personal comments- it's a conflict of interest for the group members.

This isn't a GLP style group. Pretty milk toast posts and people really know each other so there's rarely ever any highly heated stuff. My claim was supported by many that can see the "Elephant in the room." (mainly with likes) it was probably pretty shocking for the majority of these establishment sheep.

What do you think? Does this seem like a conflict of interest?
