We are currently surviving off my income alone and having to choose between feeding our family or buying medications that are needed.

Her income of over $1500.00 a month has dropped to a measly $235 a week. That takes away money to make the car payments and insurance payments.

same thing happened to me a few years ago.

went through several years of seasonal work, not related to my field of expertise.

have to be willing and able to do any type of labor.

You can always pimp her out.

Try being me for a while i have gone from $ 2000 a week to $ 100 maybe less as i live in the UK .

£ 62 out of that i have to pay £20 for rent per week , and this in a country where a packet of 20 ciggs costs about $ 15 .

Maybe she should apply at temp agencies for temporary assignments. That's how I've found work as it sometimes leads to permanent position. I've never drawn unemployment or wanted to as temp jobs were always plentiful.

living off a 1000 bucks a month (can't even make that with minimum wage) with another income must be dreadful op.

If the rich-ass corporations cannot pay a decent wage to anyone, then its better to just live off the damn government. Hell we might just decide to go on food stamps! We qualify already with just me working.

Here's the deal. Pay off all debt anyway you can. Live a meager lifestyle. Find happiness in things that matter. You can be happy on 1000 a month if you have no expenses. I have a good job now but used to live on 1000 a month gross and change my way of thinking. You can do it..but it will be hard at first.

Man. I make $235 by ten in the morning. Then I do it 4 more times during the day. And my wife makes almost as much.

I guess it pays to think and plan ahead and listen to grown ups and read books when you're a teenager.
