Are supplies drying up at your grocery store?...or in your area?
I went to Walmart today and was shocked at the numerous empty spots on shelves. There was even a huge central display that was completely empty. There was no one stocking or doing anything with that display. There was no stocking going on except in the baby dept. There were lots of employees just standing around doing nothing.

So...how is it in your area? With what we know about the Baltic Dry Index and no ships moving product/distribution....are you seeing empty spots in the stores or other unusual requirements like needing to order the items only to be told the distributor just isn't sending the product....or "we don't know when we will get it if ever"?

Regular items at the same Walmart are not being replaced like in the linen dept....there was nearly an entire aisle..just empty.

Our local walmart grocery closed. Target's shelves were stocked like normal a couple of days ago.

Ralphs (grocery store in Los Angeles), was lower on certain things. The few yellow onions on the shelf were mostly rotten. I don't see anything out of the ordinary yet, though the closest CVS to me has a huge for lease sign on the building.

It is criminal for these shipping companies/owners to withhold distribution...but then it is all about the money.

When these owners go to meet their maker they will have to pay a terrible price for starving people. They will be accomplices to murder.

I remember long ago a warning that in the end times there will be plenty of food but people won't be able to afford it. But, I had not heard that the food would be deliberately withheld....so even if they did have the money to buy it .....it simply would not be in the stores....like we are seeing now.

That's why the Bible tells that people will wind up throwing their silver and gold into the streets.

It does seem as though they are I have not been shopping my husband has.
He has come in with different name brand foods due to no being able to buy our usual.
I liked the off name ones better for lots of things.

He also has to go to many more locations to find all on a store list.
Sometimes going back more than once waiting on a shipment of them.

This has been going on for sometime now.
I noticed online shopping offering no new selections, or limited quantity and even sold out as soon as they post it for buying.

Even bringing back what was on clearance and marking up as though it is new stock or arrival.

Been so for a while where we shop.
I am afraid our favorite stores may be going out of business.
I saw that before other ones closed down their stores.

I would really miss them and do not think I could find a replacement for them.
The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds.

I work at Wally. Listen, there are Department Managers and then there are Real Managers. The Department Managers are responsible to set the grid or the mod and put out the merchandise. The employees who are not given a task to set out merchandise really can't do it.

That doesn't mean that they don't have a mega tsunami of merch in the store room. You should see how many clothes we have in the back storeroom. Some of it never makes it out to the floor until it has already gone clearance. I have only been watching it for a few weeks and I am already sickened. It is all dependent on the Manager and whether they are going to make the Department Managers do their job. I don't think there are any supply chain problems. It's more internal.

I'm sorry that your shopping experience wasn't what it should have been. I was putting out merchandise last night because my Manager told me to do it and how to do it. I didn't get much cleaning done in the department, however. That sort of upsets me, but you can only get done what you can get done and we have to give breaks and meals to the other girls.

You have to really have intention to move the merchandise out to the floor. I call it biting the bullet. Basically, the mods aren't getting set and I am afraid that the store is losing money because the merchandise isn't where it can be purchased. It can't be purchased from the store room, I can tell you that. It's very frustrating from the associate side as well.

I think that's really typical of Walmart. sometimes their shelves are just empty. My local grocery store is stocked just fine.

I don't normally do WalMart.
There are a few things I haven't been able to purchase lately, but nothing doom-worthy.

I had a popular thread a few days ago about this...I noticed this too, but only in certain stores...dollar tree, some areas of walmart, etc...a guy that claimed to be in the know said it's true that the cargo ships haven't moved...scary stuff.

I noticed that WalMart put in a whole extra row of water. It was like it didn't have anything else to put on the shelves so it put that in. It looked really weird.

I also noticed things not stocked that I wanted to buy.

If everything is just sitting on pallets in the back room or up in the steel, nobody can buy it.

If your store has empty asiles, they need to fire the manager and get some people in there pulling that shit out to the sales floor.

We don't have any more money to buy Chinese shit. They won't extend any further credit to buy their shit. So we have little product to sell to U.S. citizens.

Not a mystery. Like how you rearrange stuff in a room where you don't have a lot of furniture. Try to make it look like enough stuff, cause you don't have enough. So there's no money to buy enough stuff so sometimes empty shelves, there's cutting down on variety of products, it all adds up to slowdown on economy.
