Trump in 2002: "I support the invasion of Iraq"
Uh oh, Humpty Trumpty is falling apart again!

Trump isn't happy about people bringing up his Howard Stern appearance from 2002 where he said, "I support the invasion of Iraq".

Why? Well, because he has been bragging about how was allegedly "the only one against it [invasion of Iraq]" back then.

Oh, Trumpty...

Even so logical in 2002 after 9/11. It was considered unpatriotic behavior if you weren't pro invasion. America and the people wanted a response. And we'll. ...they've got there Abu Ghriab and Gitmo and other stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff.

Re: Trump in 2002: "I support the invasion of Iraq"

Less than an hour after the story broke online, Trump responded during a CNN town hall: "By the time the war started, I was against the war."

Trump again said he wasn't asked about the issue earlier because he was in the private sector at the time, and he maintained that there was proof from 2003 and 2004 of his opposition.

He didn't deny the comments. "I could have said that," Trump said, later saying that he "may have" made that statement.

"Nobody asked me. I wasn't a politician. It was probably the first time somebody asked me the question," Trump said. "By the time the war started I was against the war, and there are articles, I mean there are headlines in 2003, 2004, that I was totally against the war."

The Trump campaign didn't immediately respond to NBC News' request for comment.

He has explained that it was an off the cuff remark he made while he was not a politician and was not paying much attention to the subject at hand. He was inclined to support the moves of the GOP President even before he knew the details

After learning more about the subject matter he came out strongly against it.

Billionaire business men that are not into politics do not follow the political news cycles.

This actually shows how disconnected from politics Trump was at some point in the past and makes it even more evident that he is an outsider coming inside to clear the corruption.

It's funny the lengths trump supporters will go to in order to rationalize Trump's lies.

It doesn't matter what he said, he wasn't a politician?

Yeah, brilliant logic!

The problem with being a pathological liar is that it becomes hard to remember all of your lies.

The problem with being a prolific pathological liar is that it becomes impossible to remember all of your lies that much faster.

The problem with being a prolific pathological liar in the modern digital age is that everything is recorded and can be stored and queried almost instantaneously to call people on their bullshit.

It's a sad world for Trumptards. They see the world in only black and white. If you point out something about Trump that they don't like, then you must be a democrat.

Also, people in Russia don't actually say comrade. It wasn't used in the Soviet Union either. However, I don't expect someone who got their education from cartoons to understand how the real world works.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70885787

Well flip flopper is a term normally attributed to politicians. The rest of us just change our minds. He was not a politician when he stated either of his opinion on the Iraq war back in 2002.

Most of us believed then that Bush, Cheney and Powell were telling us the truth. Trump was one of us back then and not one of them.

Many of us agreed with Bush based on the made up intel they sold us, including Donald Trump.

You can ignore the facts to fit your narrative if you like but then your deluding yourself by excluding facts from your thoughts.

Your choice =).

Trump made an off-hand remark in 2002 in Howard Stern's show.

At the time, the Bush Admin had been pushing the idea Saddam was a threat and had WMD. Many people said the same thing Trump did.

But 5 days after the war started, Trump said it was a mess and not going well, and a year later he wrote and spoke extensively on what a bad idea it was.

Seems plenty consistent and normal to me.

OP is a dumb piece of shit.
