"You see, insurance companies are still greedy. We need to fix this. Medicare for all." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67994327 Perhaps, but... Obama never cared about helping Americans with healthcare or was he interested in a single payer system. All he was doing was looking for "something" to put through that he thought was going to be big, like Social Security, as his claim to fame or legacy. He listened to those fat cats and those ignorant advisors who told him this would be successful (and he and everyone involved in it would get rich along the way). He failed, no legacy, but, they all got rich, didn't they? |

Also warn that Oblammy sent you and that his "Blacks Lives Matter" shakedown will be extended to other "minority" groups and directed at hospitals. |

MaximusRex User ID: 37431642 United States 02/22/2016 11:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look guys, I am finishing up my degree in Health IT/ Health informatics. Obamacare (PPACA) goes above and beyond insurance coverage and rates. Of the 2000+ pages about 98% of it is health care regulations-- NOT health insurance regulations. It is quite astonishing while working on coursework and case studies the implication and unintended consequences this act has already caused without even addressing out of pocket cost and insurance to patients. Did you know: * PPACA has created a guideline for "preferred care". In other words, for certain conditions, the government has set a scoring formula which can reward hospitals up to an additional 4% in medicaid/medicare reimbursements-- or FINE a hospital or loarge clinics up to 4% of medicaid/medicare reimbursements. This may not sound like much, but for a single hospital we are talking in the millions. Components: + A scoring system which includes patient surveys. 35% of the score comes directly from patient scores. This was implemented in 2012-2013. What is the driving question/factor on these surveys? Pain management. In other words, if a patient complains of pain, the hospitals are FORCED into doping them onto narcotics for fear of a bad patient survey-- which could drop the hospital reimbursements. Prior to this I had completed papers revealing how up to 35% of ER Patient visits are by "drug seekers"-- patients who use the hospital system for their narcotic addition. I can verify this as my wife had to leave the city hospital because nearly 75% of her patients were over-weight depressed drug seekers-- who all seemed to have non-descript pains such as "upset stomachs", "headaches", abdomen pains. Doctors could never really find the source-- but they always seemed to come by every couple of months with the same problem. This being BEFORE the implementation of the Obamacare Surveys. After the implementation my wife was forced to dope anyone and everyone. These patients are being subjected to further nurturing of their addictions rather than getting the help they truly need. How many of these will be democrat voters just due to their addiction? + For certain health conditions, the doctor must follow a pre-determined path of care by the government. If the doctor deviates from this path, then this negatively effects reimbursements. + Hospitals must report outcomes for a select number of conditions pre-determined by Obamacare to avoid the fine. In addition to Obamacare, the ARRA (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) also forced hospitals and large clinics to move to EMR/EHR systems (Electronic health records). The is called “meaningful use” and has several levels. By 2015 if a hospital or clinic did NOT implement some level of “meaningful use” towards an EHR system—they are fined. In 2016 the fine for non-compliance is 4% of medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. Just these two programs alone account for as much as 8% fines on hospitals. Who pays for that? Patients who are paying the insurance. You want health reform-- well you got it! Last Edited by MaximusRex on 02/22/2016 11:15 AM |

The people they assumed would pay for it avoid the emergency room because they charge an arm and a leg. If I get sick the majority of times I suck it up and go to bed but if it's something bed rest can't cure then I got to the local cheap clinic. If You go to the emergency room it's always filled with Obama supporters whom never pay a fucking dime and that's why they are there in the first place. |

Check your bills real good when you get them. I was double billed for x-rays, an office visit that was already paid for in advance, and for services not rendered, ie "Smoking Cessation Counseling". At all of the clinics, in particular the one I had to pay cash up front BEFORE I was allowed to see the doctor, most of the patients in the waiting room were illegals. They spoke no English, and had litters of kids. They all had medicaid, courtesy of our tax dollars.I personally saw them pull out their medicaid cards. obamacare has done nothing but destroy our medical system, while the illegals are getting their medical care, and everything else for free. Our Veterans have to wait months for care, and then receive substandard care in some of the facilities. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 71345460 United States 02/22/2016 11:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's your Obamacare: Hospitals now demanding patients pay up front before receiving treatment Quoting: Obama/Biden 2016! 71517609 Sunday, February 21, 2016 by: Jonathan Benson, staff writer (NaturalNews) Deductibles are soaring under Obamacare, and many U.S. hospitals are now attempting to collect medical payments before services are even rendered, according to new reports. The financial burden of medical care has increased so much as a result of Obamacare -- just as predicted -- that hospitals can now clearly see the writing on the wall: Many more people than ever before will be unwilling or unable to pay their medical bills. According to CNN Money, Americans today are having to foot a much higher percentage of their medical bills than ever before due to ever-increasing deductibles. Five years ago, for instance, an individual, employer-sponsored policy had a deductible of just over $800. Today, that same policy carries a deductible of about $1,217, a rate more than 50 percent higher. Similar increases have occurred for family plan deductibles, which the 2014 Kaiser Family Foundation and Health Research & Educational Trust report says have increased by 31 percent overall. Since 2006, family plan deductibles have nearly doubled, jumping from an average of about $1,034 per family to $1,947. [link to www.naturalnews.com] It's all about change. This is true. I have to pay any deductible upfront for any services at a hospital where I receive frequent treatment. Thanks Obama. |

The fact is an Insurance Company is a FOR PROFIT company that inserts itself between you and your provider. They sit in the middle and demand to make huge profits. That's the problem. They extract their profit from you and from the provider. It should be absolutely illegal. |
