Just a Question About the Moon?
Is it normal for a full moon to be up in the south west at 3:00 position at 5:30 in the morning? I do not ever remember seeing it at this time or anytime at like this. Of course I could have forgotten but I do not think so. It is full moon and it not set, I really at first thought it was something else, it was shining through clouds and then it came out.

Just the facts please just wanting to know how often this happens. As for the time where it is at this time of day.
I have been watching some strange places it been in the sky but I am not sure about this one. I watch the moon and I am have a sleeping problem so being up at this time, is not unusual of me, seeing the moon at this time as a full moon is.
Sorry I got a headache

Earth is tilted so the position of objects in ze sky changes over the year.
We will have (have had?) snow moon this month too

Re: Just a Question About the Moon?
What is a snow moon, I live in Alabama so this tilt is a little off the normal tilt from what I remember. I know the moon sets but not right before the sun comes up. It was up last week and did not set at the right time, it was not to far from the sun path. It should have set hours before it did. I do know when it should set. But it has been raining all day and yesterday so I did not see it come up.

It is a full moon so it is normally comes up about 9:00pm at about 10:00 in the north east at this time of year.

How do you know that Earth is tilted?

The most incredible thing about humans is that they talk about things of which they know nothing about.

The rise and set times move about a half hour every day.

You should check some weather site, they usually have the moon phases and rise/set times there.

The full Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth to the Sun, that's why it's full. It will set just before the Sun rises. A new Moon will rise and set close to the same time as the Sun and a quarter Moon around 6 hours before or after the Sun.

I don't I just say the earth tilt which is really the tilt of the positions of the rising of the moon at different angle which does not seem recently to be able to stay in the right place, it kind of a strange feeling watching it change to often in a matter of on night to the next and flipping back to the first spot.

I think the moon has develop a bipolar disorder!

No quite right in this, I have seen a full moon when the sun is up and it does not set with the sun. I know what they say it is supposed to do, but it not what has been happening since about 2002. so, I really like when thing are solid and not jumping around out of order. I am being to think sometimes you never see the moon. It would be hard for you to see it, if it over here at the same time, you are supposed to see it in Europe.

They are both going to be close to the horizon at the same time, otherwise it's not a full Moon. In a couple of days he Moon will be looking nearly full but will still be 10 degrees above the horizon when the Sun rises, and won't set for another hour and a half.

I know what they say it is supposed to do, but it not what has been happening since about 2002. so, I really like when thing are solid and not jumping around out of order. A lot of things changed in 2002. Moon phases and times survived intact though. We can't see the Moon at the same time as you due to the metric system 1dunno1
