Turkey, nor Saudi are not going to commit significant ground forces to a long drawn out war, they have no air or logistical support and egress once they enter. Russia currently has only a tiny percentage, less then 10% deployed.

Think about it like chess, russian air support and S-300/400 are all protecting their assets, they dont need to move as they have the entire board (Syria/Turkey) already covered, all they need to do is wait for a mistake.

The US knows this and is desperately trying to keep things orderly before a full out war breaks out. Europe is trying as well, they need to diffuse the migrant situation asap.
