I didn't click the link but if it is because a newborn delivered by C-Section misses out on the healthy bacteria that it would get as it passes through being delivered vaginally, it's not done as a fad or gross. The C-Section is now used too often, not just in cases of danger. I've heard pregnant women planning the delivery date to coincide with what birthday they want, to plan a social event, even to have the baby before a football game. THAT is sick and doctors should not agree, but they are right there with the moms, sometimes it's because of the doctors schedule. This should stop. But the healthy bacteria that comes from be born is not a crock. I didn't know they were smearing the afterbirth on the baby but I guess why not. That is a real purposeful use for it and it's already right there. Seems like delivering through the vagina is the best way to me. Never forsake a Kraut for the sake of forsaking a Kraut |
