Since real argument is as rare as critical thinking I would like to re-post a comment on his journal entry as it appears on his site:

I noted that the Brazilian UFO magazine website quoted Mr. Van Ellam as predicting that there would be a world-wide contact event on November 17, including the appearance of Jesus Christ, who Mr. Van Ellam had described as a "Master", but not a "Savior" or "Son of God". Well, it's been more than a week now since the 17th and I haven't heard of any appearance by Jesus Christ anywhere. Has anyone else? Mr. Van Ellam looks like just another person who is "looking for the answer", but doesn't know where or when to find it. If you truly believe that Jesus was a "Master", then you need to believe what he said. Jesus is quoted as saying that he will return, but that no one will know the day or hour, not even himself, only God who sent him. If Jesus doesn't know when he will return to Earth, how would Mr. Van Ellam?

Also, if we're talking about advanced civilizations here, why would we need archaic occult means, like seances or mediums, to communicate with them? Does that seem weird to anyone else?

The conditions are also present for pox. Someone I'm personally aware of has come down with an unidentifiable case of flu and pox. Doctors are stymied as to a diagnosis and claim a mutant chicken pox strain. It's not shingles, it's not herpes.

In the best interest of hospital bottom line, they have sent this person back to his home and suggested he avoid people.
