I used to work in a textile factory back in the '80s that made caps and branded them with company logos. They employed over a thousand people from our small town and surrounding area, had great benefits including health insurance and paid a decent wage. I saw first hand the effects of the destructive trade policies that opened up the flood of cheap products from China.

Today that company is a shell of it's former self, has been sold to a mega corporation and employs maybe 200 people to manage all the imported product that comes in from China before they slap on some cheap branding and send it out the door. It also pays about the same as it did 25 years ago and the benefits are not as good as they used to be.

Trump will work to even the playing field and stop the unfair trade policies that allowed this to happen. If his hats are made in China now it is because he is playing by the rules as they are now. He will change those rules.
