A L&S (Light & Sound) machine uses a Light & Sound session to entrain your mind into the desired brain rhythm as tabled below. It is not free, but it is fully functional as shareware for as long as you want to use it. The only limitation is that you can only use the built-in presets (there are lots!). To create your own, save your own, and use other peoples presets you have to register it. I've been using this myself for a while now with great results. They have a huge section with free presets to download & use with the registered product.

to save a favorite thread you have to be signed in or you can use the favorite button on your browser.

Alpha, I've used BWGEN and it is very good for the sound part. I've never got it to do any light strobing which is why this post caught my interest.

I take it the instructions would mean I can create an experimental full blown Light and Sound machine with a current PC running SB emulation software or an old DOS SB PC, build it yourself LED glasses and free software and program sessions to drive it all. This appeals to me.

The Awakened Mind Sessions by the software itself sound very good.

I've followed up on this thread mostly out of interest of the Awakening Mind 1 (AM1) programs shown at [link to www.futuremind.com] and the solution being almost a free L&S machine.

Note to others: the AM1 programs are not in the FM150DOS.exe link. When I googled FM150 I came across the AM1 programs at [link to www.megabrain.net] as AM1_110.EXE . Cool!! This downloads and unzip OK. Here is a summary of these Programs:

GLASSES.ZIP was found on a BWGEN forum, explaining how to make LED glasses for use with either the Futuremind or the BWGEN software discussed in this thread. The former using the parallel port to drive the glasses, the latter using frequencies above 19.2Khz contained in the sound output itself to drive the LED glasses. I have a L & S Machine with the flashing glasses.
The bulbs in the glasses is dead center and I have to be sure to have my eyes closed when turning them on.

I see people say that they get all sorts of images...I never get them.
Also The thing gets on my nerves...instead of relaxing me it gets me all tensed up...and that is on the "Sleep settings."
