I don not believe that Haas can flip Trump to changing those opinions but the appointment gives Trump more cred with people Trump will have to deal with. Richard Haas has worked for everybody. Sort of reminds me the men and women in the armed forces who have to work for both Democrat and Republican Presidents. Haas is an analyst and seems have been pretty reasonable in his analysis over the years. Yes, he is CFR and that is a problem but at least Trump is only considering advisors at this point. He hasn't married any CFR members yet, unlike Ted Cruz. I really hope Trump considers Michael Scheuer as a member of his Foreign Policy team. Scheuer was marginalized by the Israeli-Firsters in the Clinton, Bush and Obama Adminsistrations. Scheuer is the man who ran Alec Station at the CIA and who gave Bill Clinton numerous opportunities to kill Bin Laden. Of course, Clinton refused to kill Bin Laden and Scheuer resigned in protest. Scheuer is 100% Amerian and belongs back in the game. There is no one who better understands how to kill our enemy than Michael Scheuer. He campaigned with Ron Paul as well.
