If the written statement is true, its just the Russian government reminding them that such threats are quasi acts of war and that other nations (read USA, South Korea and Japan) have a quasi motive to defend themselves.

In others words its the Russia government telling them: "Those are nuclear weapons you're dealing with so stop acting like retards."

Russia cannot realistically pull it off.

This is a lie. Russia never threatened to invade North Korea. What Russia said is that North Korea's threats of preemptive nuclear strikes could justify invasion by the USA. Vladimir Putin is completely wrong on this one. The United Nations charter gives every country the right to defend itself. America set the precedent of preemptive war with the invasion of Iraq based on a manufactured threat. The war games being conducted by the USA are specifically practicing an invasion and overthrow of the North Korean government. North Korea has the right to nuke the US-South Korean forces and military bases in Asia and the United States to defend their sovereignty. North Korea has international law on their side. Putin is saying this because he believes that North Korea is actually going to do this.

That means threatened countries would be justified to invade. Then he says the yearly joint exersises are unprecedented. Hes not far of kim blob in madness himself.

Russia doesn't have the forces in the Far East to invade North Korea.

But China does.

Yes, but the USA has a bad habbit of invading countries and, ya know, what is international law when you spend as much on military as the rest of the world combined.

Russia benefits from NK being a distraction to the USA, they are warning "the enemy of their enemy" to chill the F out or they will bring down the loose canon usa on their asses. Your reading a little to much into the headline. Vlad is not saying Russia will invade. He is saying that the ROK and USA will have the right to invade and the world community would agree with it.

Looks as though WWIII is a war of words.

Do you know that the U.S. has 28,000 military personnel on guard along the DMZ that separates North and South Korea?

A Russian invasion of North Korea has the potential to get a little complicated, don't you think?

How, exactly, would the Russians undertake such a move?
