Wildfire in Kansas and Oklahoma has burned 72,000 acres so far
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- An emergency was declared in a southern Kansas county as several crews tried to put out a major grass fire. The fire has burned 72,000 acres in Oklahoma and Kansas, 41,000 of those acres in Comanche County, Kansas.

Barber County's Sheriff called for voluntary evacuations in Sun City and surrounding areas.

This map shows it mostly on the Oklahoma side of the state line but southwest of the Coffeyville area. When I lived there a friend of mine had a daughter at college in Coffeyville.
