New car purchases continue to drop cause there's been nothing new in cars for 10-15 years plus. | |

Ford has a V6 engine that puts out 365 ho and 420 ft lbs of torque. Twin turbo charged. In a truck with an aluminum body that can out pull Chevy, dodge, Toyota or Nissan. |

That's fine. For me, it's the idea how much metal goes into cars and junkyards and piles up in waste and beyond that...there are hundreds of millions of cars sitting in lots having already mined all that metal and such. It's asinine to me. «««...We have to seek truth and information ... to provide hope and the Greater Good...»»» |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67256344 So how much increase in torque. Worth the pricetag or upgrade? Not likely unless you have a boat or farm that would need such a thing. «««...We have to seek truth and information ... to provide hope and the Greater Good...»»» |

Dear God. That's an odd number. I'm in northern wisconsin and most dealerships here do 1 year leases or 5 and 10 year financing. «««...We have to seek truth and information ... to provide hope and the Greater Good...»»» |

Don't want to fool with it. Don't even want to change oil anymore. Get the warranty and let somebody else do it. We buy gently used vehicles and never have problems but save thousands of dollars. We also have a good mechanic we trust for tune ups. We get something we could never afford new and keep it running for a long time. |

Got sick of working on cars. I did save a lot of money though by doing that all those years. |

Yes, I could have bought used which I was willing to do. However, after adding the interest rate to the lower market price of the used vehicle, it wasn't much different. So yeah, I went with new. . If they say it's true, it probably isn't. |

But hey they do get a different car every 3 years... Life is short and some people go that route. |
