Feds to Fine Schools for Not Following Michelle Obama’s Lunch Rules.. Say What?!?

Where in what LAW (LAW not regulation) does the federal government withhold the legal authority to implement a fine for a state entity not following a GUIDELINE?

That is the message one Virginia school district has been told by the federal government. WND reports the shocking development:

The largest school district in Virginia is expanding its non-discrimination policy to include gender identity over the loud objections of parents, and the Obama administration intends to impose the change on every public school district in the country.

On Thursday, the Fairfax County School Board voted overwhelmingly to expand it’s non-discrimination policy to accommodate transgender teachers and students. The vote came after the second of two boisterous hearings, at which parents overwhelmingly opposed the change.

I was just talking about this yesterday in another thread.

While I am fine with healthy food in the school lunch program, I can' tell you, it's anything but!

Something that we find really stupid to this day, was if you ordered a salad, you had to have a side salad with it. That's right, a salad with a salad. Why not a piece of fruit instead? What a waste of food!

You also had to take a milk everyday, whether you drank it or not. They didn't have lactose free milk or Almond milk in the milk coolers for those who couldn't tolerate milk, but they still forced these kids to take a milk- even those who bought or brought water!

My daughter had to have a gluten and lactose free diet. We had to bring in a doctor's note every year saying she needed a special diet for hot lunch, even though we packed her own!

The head of the kitchen, who was a real grouchy jerk (and fired eventually for the poor treatment of the folks that worked for him), DEMANDED that I not only provide a list of foods that she could eat, but I had to bring in wrappers and containers of the foods she was allowed! I had no problem with the food list, but empty packages of Udi's pizza crust, Almond milk, and quite a few other items we sent in, and the bastard hardly made any of those foods for her for lunch- he would just make her up a salad, and still give the poor kid the pita wrap, which has gluten in it.

We packed her lunch, it was easier for her and she at least got her nutrition, but again, it had to be on the doctor approved list, or they would throw away the kids lunches.

Back in the day the school lunches were cooked on site by the moms of the students.

School lunch was never the cause of obesity

Who died and gave that yeti the power to say what our kids eat?

I want to see her eat lunch in school cafeterias for a month straight. She should be perfectly willing to do such an outreach.

True! My Mom worked in my school cafeteria and the food was great just like at home. Nothing like the processed crap they serve nowadays.

You could ask the same about Healthcare.

Actually this is how they create more fat people intentionally, not less. The kids won't eat the food so they will sneak food in with them, or find other ways to get food. It's an intentional social experiment. They already know its a complete failure, and think of the waste, all the process of getting an cooking awful food then most of it goes in the garbage.

This administration obliterated our nation.

The Billion Dollar Muslim wedding being thrown around this morning is a real bonus stab in the eye as well. A Billion dollars, enough to feed house and clothe millions.
