I overheard this conversation today in the grocery store here in tn earlier today.

Does anyone know or heard anything like this going on or did I misunderstand what I was hearing?

Re: ANYONE HEARD OF RANDOM LIGHTNING STRIKES HAPPENING IN FLORIDA ON CLEAR CLOULESS SKIES TODAY?
Ive seen heat lightening that spiderwebs across the entire sky with nary a cloud to be seen.

the most prolific memorable event of this occurrence was when I was maybe 18 and there was no ambient light so the stars were very prominent in the night sky. The heat lightning spiderwebbed across the entire field of view from one side to the other.

it was a neon red color not white at all. I dont belive I remember thunder either.

was awe inspiring to see such a display. I remember how incredible it looked against the stary sky even today.

again not one tiny puff of a cloud anywhere in sight.
