How to Prevent Trump From Having the Nomination Stolen From Him at the Convention

As a former worker for the PA state party I can tell you there is only one way to scare your local republican party / committee into making sure that they don't switch their vote at the convention from Trump to Cruz.


The way local political parties get the bulk share of their money is from their State committee who in turn gets there funding from the centralized, national party, the RNC. This money is allocated to the local counties based on voter registration.

Thus, if you want to have your local party by the balls, make sure you communicate with them, via phone calls, emails and letters, that if the nomination is switched you will be withdrawing your voter registration as a Republican so as to register as either a Democrat or an independent.

I would recommend telling them the following: "I will be rescinding my Republican voter registration and I'll be re-registering as a Democrat so that any funds you would have received from the national or state party gets allocated to your local democratic competition."


The critical thing here is to follow through. You must make contact with your local party. You must give them that ultimatum and, finally, you must be willing to act on it. Rescinding your registration is all you can do to get their attention in the end because it directly correlates to the money in their pockets / coffers.
