The lawyers take all the money before you get sick.

There's likely some system like that here where an old person's property is carved up and distributed out as old age care home payment but not sure the system as I haven't experienced it personally yet

What do you mean ask? You wait in a line and your health deteriorates. They don't ask. The answer is yes.

You will not have the same chance at surviving in a remote area, only Urban dwellers have good health care especially in an emergency. In the wilderness your screwed, and many little town down have a single DR. or equipment to save you.

Canadians still come here for the best health care if they can pay for it, and do.

It doesn't matter where in the world you are anymore, everything is incumbent upon getting to a real hospital when minutes count. Second to that are long term issues. Most people never get attention for minor issues, only the wealthy or 100% insured, and now the system is set up to discourage seeking treatment for minor health ailments at all.
