ºEATº User ID: 79714 Canada 12/07/2006 05:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am with you there Natie. I am feelin' kinda resigned to fate. It's hard to explain. I believe the sh*t is going to hit the fan real soon. When the sh*t hits the fan, our way of life is going to change drastically. Food shortages. Power Blackouts. Riots. Mayhem. No more warm showers in the morning. That will suck. Seriously Nates, I've lived my life and am ready for the next step. I no longer take pleasure in the 'sins' of this life. I've become stoic, and it's kinda boring. These bible verses have made an impact on me over the last few weeks: "What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?" "The wisdom of this world is foolishness" "The greatest amoung you is the least" ----------- ----------- "THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD IS FOOLISHNESS" "THE GREATEST AMOUNG YOU IS THE LEAST AMOUNG YOU" What shall it profit a man if he attains the wife of his dreams, and the car and house of his dreams, and his dream job.... if he loses his soul in the attainment of these earthly things.... then it's just STUPID. Why would anyone want to 'sell' their eternal soul for things of the earth that do not last? Anyways, just one of my rants.... Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. |

KrazyNate (OP) User ID: 98008 United States 12/07/2006 06:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You said it EAT.. I think alot of it is my recent purchase. I bought a truck, well financed a truck.. Not that I cant afford the damn thing, just that it is more than I need.. Really it was more than I wanted to have.. Just too nice, too extravigant.. It bothers me cause deep down I know there is much more productive things I could use my depreciating dollar on... Grrr... Think Happy.. Think Happy... Lessons learned today, are problems prevented tomorrow! One should not worry about tomorrow when there is plenty to do today!! |

ºEATº User ID: 79714 Canada 12/07/2006 06:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nates, I really appreciate you sharing your story about Ellie the other day! It was inspiring to me. Thank you for your honesty, brother. I am so thankful that God heard and answered your call! I too call out to God when I feel overwhelmed by the world. What I want to start REMEMBERING TO DO is to call out to God during the GOOD moments of my life! The other day I was holding my hand of my daughter. It felt great to hold her hand. I quietly prayed to God "God... here is how I feel right now... please take this great feeling and have it as well!" Too often I ask God to help take my lousy feelings away yet when the good feelings come I 'hog' them to myself. I hope this makes some sense. Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. |

Don't feel guilty about it now, OK? Enjoy it! Enjoy it for yourself, but do not enjoy it for the way you think it makes you look to other people. I like you for who you are Nates.... not the kind of truck you drive. Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. |

Telling the story of my dog was really more for me than anyone. Helps to cope when you can spread the truck load of emotions around a little bit. Perhaps we helped each other. Glad to hear you have a daughter, that is wonderful.. Ive been getting the baby bug lately too.. Gots to find a good gal first... I hear ya. God doesnt only want to hear about our troubles, He knows them. He doesnt want us to JUST WORSHIP Him. He want to be our freind, our buddy, our best mate. How many friends would one have if we only complained around everyone?? Probably not many. The flip of your statement EAT, about only praying when we're in trouble, is basically what I said for grace on Turkey Day... We need to always remember that Thanksgiving isnt just a day to be thankful, but a reminder to be thankful everyday. Not just be thankful for the good things and good times. But thankful also for the bad things and rough times. It is in these hard times that we learn lessons valuable for spiritual growth and also learn to better appreciate the good times and great things in our lives. Something to that effect.. Dang, feelin better already Lessons learned today, are problems prevented tomorrow! One should not worry about tomorrow when there is plenty to do today!! |
