Calm Before The Storm

Yes. Very much. It physically happens a lot in weather-related storm, on many occasions I have experienced it many times. Particularly with thunderstorms and typhoons.

I thought about it and wondered if it is true a majority of the time why is the "calm" even there?

It seems to me to be similar to saying that it is the darkest before dawn.

I think we find ourselves content in the calm before the storm. In our contentedness we fail to see the storm on the horizon.

"They never knew what hit them."
