Has anyone ever had large swollen lymph nodes? Symptoms that go with it? Maybe from a parasite? | |

Statistically anything sinister is less likely but that is why they've done your biopsies. Don't listen to any advice from here or some idiot will have you eating bicarb or apple cider vinegar or some bullshit. Seriously, go and enjoy life while you wait and take the specialists advice. Best regards to you. May you live a long and happy life. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 19150050 United States 04/16/2016 05:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Obviously, your lymph nodes are fighting off something. The lymph system is a distinct group of tissues including the lymph glands, lacteals (kind of a lymph vessel connected to the villi of the small intestine through which most of the emulsified fats are conveyed to the subclavian vein, located under the breast bone by way of the thoracic duct, the main trunk of the lymph system which lies in front of the spinal column), and a network of vessels, also of the sinus and other cavities through whick flows the lymph, a colorless alkaline fluid, which is distinct from the blood, in that it contains no red blood cells, only white cells which are produced in the network of tissue called the lymph system. The colorless fluid is the plasma, circulating with the blood, containing specific antibodies that combine with enzymes to neutralize bacteris, virus, and fungus. So, in short, you are fighting off an infection of some sort, which has plugged up the lymph glands. Echinacea is a very good herbal that will clean out the lymph system. Prescribed in Germany. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71541060 United States 04/16/2016 06:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have swollen lymph nodes just on the right side of my neck. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71451062 The are fairly swollen. Sometimes painful and sometimes not. Seem to have poppy ear drums and my nose perpetually runs. Currently being checked for lymphoma but blood work all seems stable. Had the last of 3 biopsies today and have to wait two weeks for results. If not lymphoma then has to an infection. I was thinking parasite or a sinus problem. If anyone has had a similar experience or any knowledge they might like to share it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yea had it as a kid, the doctor checks for it when you get ill. Its like no big deal. Why on earth are you so worried to run those tests. (btw no matter what symptom you enter on google, it will return a result that says you have cancer). I honestly can't tell you what i had that made my lymp nodes swollen, it could have ranged from upset stomach, to cold, to mild flu, to chicken pox, to sore throat. All i know is that i never got majorly ill as a kid. |

It does the job. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59228281 Ewww parasites. Tab vermox 5 days course is also good for most parasites Yes, but in the us you cant get it prescribed from a doctor, who mostly are in denial that people of the west can get parasites. Like, its a conspiracy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51457326 United States 04/16/2016 07:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Had swollen lymph node on left side of neck. Came out to be squamous cell carcinoma of unknown origin. Ended up doing more biopsies in throat, tongue, nasal and still had my tonsils, got those removed. Found .7 cm cancer in my left tonsil. So after two surgeries, had to have chemo and radiation treatments. Cisplatin and 6600 Gy x2. Having radiation treatment of the neck is not a cake walk. You lose all sense of taste, eventually can't eat anything because you can't get anything down. Constantly drinking water because so much mucous. Pretty much on a liquid diet and will lose lots of weight. I can go on and on about it. Hopefully you get your results back that you just fighting infection of some sort. |
