I can't remember the exact quote, but it was about 4 years ago. A reporter tried to troll Putin about his off the chart favorability ratings.

He said something to the effect "Russia is my life. I am nothing without it. But Russia was just fine before me and she will be just fine after me"

Can you imagine Hillary, Obama, Bush, Cheney, etc. Saying the same thing?
