My chickens got their first spanking today.
My chickens got their first spanking today. They are one year old and run around the farm free and spoiled rotten, knock on the door if they do not have treats by 4 afternoon. This last week they wound not shut up. Way too loud when I was working on the fence. Rooster calling out to all the hens finding egg nests in every direction of my woods and the neighbors woods.

I spanked the noisiest ones and locked them in their room, the barn on such a nice sunny day.

They were upset I was putting up a fence around the garden too. But I plowed and let them eat the bugs first. Then the fence.

If you fallow where the hen goes to lay an egg and leave her just one she will lay in the same spot. They almost all like to go/lay in the same spot, so far.

I choked one of my chickens once, really, it wouldn't shut up and my nerves were already rattled from some other bullshit so I went to the pen and snapped its neck and through it on the burn pile.

That was the least pleasurable chicken choking I've ever done.

It did settle my nerves though.

I have a lot of chicken and they are really not that smart. I built a few coops with a lot of room. You have to separate them sometimes but that's what multiple coops are for.
