Easiest fried chicken recipe here. Anybody can do it. Don't need KFC anymore. KFC clone! | |
Ramen_Expert (OP) User ID: 72058582 United States 04/19/2016 04:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Heat must be high when fried so flour will puff. Looks just like restaurant fried chicken. When I first came upon this recipe I was thinking 'No way. Its too simple. Can I really clone a KFC chicken with this simple recipe?' But the shocking truth is it comes out looking just like KFC. People are shocked to learn that I can make KFC at home. I bring this clone KFC to family pot luck and people thought that I bought it from a store like Popye or KFC. Last Edited by Ramen_Expert on 04/19/2016 06:44 PM |

They charge you that much for 2 piece chicken meal at the restaurant. you could make $500 an hour working as a fancy lawyer! then cooking the meal yourself would cost $6 for chikkin and $500 for labor!! that makes kfc MUCH cheaper1!! |

The price point on the food there has always been far above the fair market value. The quality of "food" wasn't there to support the price This is the main reason I never eat there. Not that I couldn't afford it, but rather I don't support it. “Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.” Mark Twain |

Mix flour, water, salt, and pepper into another to make a simple batter. Wash and cut skinless boneless chicken into thin, flat strips. Dip each piece into the dry flour, then the wet, then back to the dry. Fry in oil until coating takes on golden texture. |

I haven't had fried chicken in about 10 or so years. I'll give this a go one weekend. Thanks for the recipe. If you ever need the coleslaw one to go along with it, let me know. Anonymous Coward User ID: 29897289 United Kingdom 04/19/2016 06:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | kfc and other southern fried chicken shops use pressurised fryer so that the chicken cooks thoroughly, evenly and quickly. if you fry chicken on the bone from raw using this method you risk food poisoning because the meat may seem cooked on the outside whilst remaining raw around the bones. if you do want to try making your own southern fried chicken, use chicken fillets and ensure they are fully cooked through before serving. |
