OP is correct.
From an engineering perspective we are biological machines designed to protect and carry around gonads, that is our highest purpose.
Our guts, our muscles, our eyes, and all other systems (even our brains) are secondary sysytems, that have evolved to best protect and use our gonads.
We are sperm on legs if you will.
Now heed this: Once the gonads are no longer exercised the whole set of other systems might as well perish, there is literally no longer a need for them.
So one would be wise to masturbate, and preferably have real intercourse.
