I knew his music. I grew up with it in high school, and his songs still bring back good memories for me...like it was just yesterday. And I'm 44.

He was a very multi-talented artist. Outstanding. And very under appreciated.

Well, musicians, usually the talented ones, write music that expresses their deep thoughts and emotions. While the musician doesn't know every fan personally, fans of these musicians know the musician somewhat on a personal level through their music.

Fans of Prince will be sad because he won't produce any more music.

For me personally, I liked Prince during the 80s, but I wasn't into his more resent music.

He was seriously ill and his plane had to make emergency landing to take to hospital. He was then taken home, I think they said last night.

I hope one of these lifetimes your soul become evolved enough to realize that artists and art is just as important if not more than finances or politics or wars, and can have an even more powerful effect on our condition collectively as a species than those things.

Prince was a part of mine and many other's childhoods, and his music colored my earliest memories on this planet. He made a fun, unique, and beautiful impact on many. His death should be recognized and respected.
