She was a Canadian property owner and business woman. Canada is also looking to put a new woman's face on the $20 bill (the Queen is on the present bill). I nominate Harriet Tubman - a heroic Canadian. |

I nominate Harriet Tubman - a heroic Canadian. She was more 'canadian' than she was American, even though she was born in the States and lived most of her life there. "Heroic"? I don't know. The northern states were already Free States. She risked nothing guiding runaways from the Niagara River into Canada. |
