Tornado Watch issued for much of KAKEland, including Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — A Tornado Watch until 11 p.m. has been issued for much of central and eastern KAKEland. The watch does include Sedgwick County and the city of Wichita.

The following counties are included in the Tornado Watch:

Barber, Barton, Brown, Butler, Chase, Clay, Cloud, Coffey, Comanche, Cowley, Dickinson, Elk, Ellsworth, Geary, Greenwood, Harper, Harvey, Jackson, Kingman, Kiowa, Lincoln, Lyon, Marion, Marshall, McPherson, Morris, Nemaha, Osage, Ottawa, Pottawatomie, Pratt, Reno, Republic, Rice, Riley, Russell, Saline, Sedgwick, Shawnee, Stafford, Sumner, Wabaunsee, Washington.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 p.m. is also in effect for Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne and Smith counties in north-central Kansas.
