Maybe it is coming down to Buddhism, which says we are responsible for our own enlightenment, and Christians who believe that God is above humans and we are not capable of our own enlightenment - you can only accept the Holy Spirit or you blaspheme? I am. not trying to alienate anyone - I try want to understand what this is all coming down to. If this is accurate, and Buddhism encourages ideals that are in line with those of Christ, I would like to think we could all agree that the ACTIONS of how we behave as "enlightened" or "god-filled" beings, is far more important than who we hold ourselves accountable to for our actions.
