Its not like the guy was trying to be shady or trying to lure him into the alley and knock him out to steal his wallet or anything, he just wanted to say Hi to the pretty white man. I went to Thailand and a lot of people would tell me they wanted to practice speaking English and after being around people speaking Thai for a month I was happy when I found people who could speak English, however limited. Hell they still text me homework for English classes and ask me to correct their essays. I do it because I'm nice. I could make a video acting like it annoys me too but I'm not a dick. |

He's like the rapefugees who go to Europe and complain about the food or that no one is Muslim. Of course in America if you approach a random Asian guy on the street he's going to speak better English than you. That's because the nation is based on common language and culture rather than race or ethnicity. In Japan, they have a different culture, a homogeneous culture, so it is safe to assume anyone who is not Japanese in appearance is a foreigner. The old guy is curious and open minded and wants to talk to someone who is not from there. Would he rather the guy spit on him and call him gaijin? Pathetic. He may be guilty of cultural appropriation. |

That poor widdle boy has people coming up and talking to him in English, after he worked so hard to learn Japanese! His butt must hurt so bad! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69545066 He's got no sense of humor either. I would have pretended that after 16 years in Japan that I could hardly speak English. |

Japan can be fixed and I know just the person to do it. Israel needs more diversity too. Also Saudi Arabia. Proles and animals are free. |

Some people keep complaining that the japanese are racist/xenophobic, others say they are very welcoming people. Of course you'll find both types on any country, maybe more in some than in other ones, but really, this accusation coming often from americans is laughable. Just accept that they value their culture a lot, they used to be closed to themselves, without being exposed to different people. Nowadays they are a very multinational country, which makes sense, since they are one of major global economies. Do they have weird, ignorant, violent, or racist people? Of course, but then again, who hasn't. |

Someone can't realize by just looking that he's lived in Japan for who the fuck cares years and gets sand in his vagina because someone wants to converse in a polite manner in English. Since it is self serving for the Gaijin to practice but this tosser has nothing to gain, in his narrow mindedness, gets all in a huff. A bit hypocritical then getting stroppy cos he thinks the Gaijin in selfish but there's nothing in it for me. Fuck off you whiny little prick. |

This useless generation will find out once the Baby Boomers are gone, that they do not have the ability to govern on their own. Glad I will not be here to see the mess they will make. Baby boomers are afraid of generation x. They know generation x will undo all their liberal policies. |

It is insane non sense. Everyone is jumping on this guy for being an asshole, but they don't know what he means when he refers to gaijan hunters. People come up to him to use him to practice their English. They're not being nice. It's a false front. When Ryan tries to converse with them in Japanese, which he's fluent in, they will completely ignore him and continue in English. He will try again, and the autistic rude Japanese will continue in English. This gives them away because their interest in him isn't genuine. They are using him, he knows this, that's why he flipped on the old guy because he's hit the point where he doesn't give a fuck anymore. Watch his other videos and you'll see how fucked up Japan is. He is an idiot for staying as long as he did. |
