I think you may be onto something here.

Trump's history with Epstein starts coming out, so put out a fake story, debunk and dismiss it as obvious slander and dirty politics and then any time someone mentions Trump and Epstein's connection they'll assume it's just in reference to this possibly fake story and easily brush it off as being a proven fake story.

If this were Hillary, or Cruz, they'd have their ducks lined up better. A lawyer on board. A real address, a real phone number. At least something to give it more legs, more meat, even if it were false.

I think Epstein's deposition testimony of pleading the 5th is pretty damning.

It might be epstein not wanting to incriminate himself, but he would not be incriminating himself if he answered NO to that question.
